The Project
Leanpub is an e-book publishing platform and online bookstore. It helps authors write & publish e-books and connect with their readers.
Launched in October 2010, Leanpub has slowly but steadily grown into a leading e-book publisher. As of May 2014, there are over 1,500 published books on Leanpub, with over $1.8 million in sales.
My Role
As the first employee hired by Leanpub, I helped lay the technical foundation, developed the Dropbox integration (open-sourcing dbox in the process), and created a flexible system for the book generation pipeline (open-sourcing simplejob).
In addition to development, I designed initial versions of the Leanpub.com homepage as well as various other pages.
